Renowned Pakistani actor Behroze Sabzwari, celebrated for his honest persona and exceptional acting, shared his candid views on second marriages during a recent appearance on Wasi Shah’s program.
Sabzwari, who has won hearts with memorable performances in dramas such as Khuda Ki Basti, Tanhaiyan, Yun Hi, Zindagi Gulzar Hai, Humsafar, and Khumaar, emphasized the importance of a first wife in a man’s life. He said, “If a man’s first wife is alive, it is a great blessing of Allah, no matter her temperament. The presence of the first wife makes a second marriage a bigger test.”
Humorously, he added that he would not comment on how life changes after a second marriage. He cited the example of actor Iqrar-ul-Hasan, who has been married three times, mentioning that he recently shared a flight with him, which brought the example to mind. Sabzwari also apologized for using strong language during the discussion.
The actor has a long-standing reputation in television, theater, and radio, with iconic roles in stage dramas like Taleem-e-Balighan and films including Nilofer. Other prominent figures, including actors Abid Ali, Shabbir Jan, Mahmood Aslam, and cricketer Shoaib Malik, have also experienced second marriages while their first wives are alive.
