Chief of Army Staff and Pakistan’s first Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, has warned that any aggression against Pakistan will be met with a faster and stronger response.
Addressing armed forces officers, Field Marshal Munir highlighted the importance of the newly established Defence Forces Headquarters as a historic step to enhance multi-domain operations under a unified command system. He said each service will maintain its operational autonomy, while the new headquarters will ensure coordination and integration across the Army, Navy, and Air Force.
“The formation of the Defence Forces Headquarters is a crucial step in responding to evolving threats,” he said, adding that senior command cohesion will complement the independence of each service’s organizational structure.
Field Marshal Munir also issued a clear message to the Taliban regime, emphasizing that they have no choice but to comply with law and order, and that Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity will not be compromised.
He reaffirmed that Pakistan is a peaceful nation, but no one will be allowed to test the country’s resolve or independence. “Pakistan’s concept is invincible, protected by devoted soldiers and a united nation,” he said.
