Pakistan’s star javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem is set to compete in the National Games on Monday, as the multi-sport event continues in Karachi.
Nadeem, who previously delivered a ceremonial throw during the opening ceremony in front of chief guest Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, will represent WAPDA in the javelin throw event scheduled to begin at 11:45 am.
The Olympian has been in strong form this season. At the Paris Olympics, Nadeem delivered a record-breaking throw that brought him global recognition. More recently, he clinched gold at the Islamic Games in Riyadh, recording an impressive 83.05 metres. He also secured gold at the Quetta National Games, where he achieved a throw of 78.02 metres.
Nadeem’s participation is expected to draw significant attention as fans anticipate another standout performance from Pakistan’s leading track-and-field athlete.
