Police seize over 41kg of hashish, arrest 32 drug suppliers in Rawalpindi

In line with Punjab Chief Minister’s vision of a “Drug-Free Punjab,” Rawalpindi police have carried out a major crackdown across multiple police stations, arresting 32 alleged drug suppliers and seizing more than 41 kilograms of hashish, officials said.

The operation was launched on the instructions of City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Hamdani, with coordinated raids conducted by various police units across the district.

According to police details, Saddar Wah Police arrested four suspects and recovered 6.91kg of hashish. Race Course Police detained five individuals, seizing 3.36kg, while Rawat Police arrested two suppliers with 3.34kg.

In separate actions, Taxila Police held three suspects with 3.205kg, Airport Police arrested three with 3.13kg, and Pirwadhai Police apprehended two suspects with 3.035kg of hashish.

Further recoveries included 2.88kg by Waris Khan Police, 2.8kg by Chaklala Police, and 2.72kg by Naseerabad Police.

Ratta Amral Police detained one suspect with 2.2kg, while Morgah Police arrested two with 2.06kg.

Kallar Syedan Police and Gujar Khan Police each arrested one suspect, recovering 1.65kg and 1.61kg respectively.
Dhamial Police seized 1.36kg, and City Police Station arrested one alleged supplier with 1.1kg.

Officials said the crackdown is part of a sustained campaign targeting drug networks across the region. “All necessary measures are being taken to eliminate the menace of narcotics,” a police spokesperson said.
