Renowned Pakistan Television (PTV) actress Beena Masroor, known for her decades-long presence in Pakistani drama, passed away on Wednesday at the age of 67.
Her son, actor Paras Masroor, confirmed the news through an Instagram story, a post that quickly drew an outpouring of condolences from fans, colleagues, and members of the entertainment fraternity.
Beena Masroor built a respected career in television, earning recognition for her roles in a number of well-received dramas, including Banjara, Baitiyan, Tarap, Ishq Nahi Aasaan, Aangan, Agar, and Jaan-e-Jahan. Her performances were often noted for their emotional depth and consistency, qualities that made her a familiar face in households across the country.
Beyond acting, she completed her higher education at the University of Sindh and remained active in teaching. Friends and former students often credited her for contributing meaningfully to both the creative and academic fields.
She was married to Dr. Bedil Masroor, a prominent figure in music and broadcasting.
