Indian actor Anupam Kher has reported a massive drop in his followers on the social media platform X, saying that more than 900,000 followers disappeared from his account in just 15 days.
In a post on X, Kher said he had noticed the sharp decline and tagged the platform’s owner, Elon Musk, asking whether he or his team knew the reason behind it. He clarified that he was “just making an observation, not a complaint.”
So far, neither Elon Musk nor his team has responded to the actor’s query.
Following Kher’s post, several users offered their own explanations. Some suggested that the decline may be due to Musk’s ongoing action against bot accounts, which has led to widespread suspensions on the platform.
Another user, responding humorously to Kher’s direct question to Musk, wrote: “Elon is the owner of X, not an employee.”
