Spain’s women’s football team lifted the Women’s Nations League title after a commanding 3-0 win over Germany in the second leg of the final held in Madrid. The first leg in Kaiserslautern, Germany, had ended in a goalless draw.
Germany started the opening leg aggressively but failed to convert key opportunities, a lapse they paid for in the decisive second leg.
In Madrid, Spain dominated from the start, maintaining consistent pressure. German goalkeeper Ann-Kathrin Berger made several crucial saves to keep the score level until the 61st minute, when Claudia Pina finally broke the deadlock with a stunning goal.
Just seven minutes later, Vicky Lopez added a second goal for Spain, and in the 74th minute, Pina scored again to seal a 3-0 victory, which remained unchanged until the final whistle.
Spain’s performance showcased tactical discipline, attacking flair, and clinical finishing, securing the title and further cementing their status as one of Europe’s top women’s teams.
