Pakistan squad announced for Pro Hockey League opener

Pakistan’s national hockey team has finalized its squad and officials for the first stage of the FIH Pro Hockey League. The team is scheduled to depart for Santiago, Argentina, on Tuesday night.

The opening stage of the league will feature Pakistan, Argentina, and the Netherlands, with matches set to be played from December 9 to 14 in Santiago.

The team management includes Manager Anjum Saeed, Head Coach Tahir Zaman, Assistant Coaches Muhammad Usman Sheikh and Zeeshan Ashraf, Video Analyst Muhammad Nadeem Khan Lodhi, and Physio Muhammad Aslam.

The squad for the tournament features Imad Shakeel Butt (captain), Abdullah Ishtiaq Khan, Muneeb Ur Rehman, Muhammad Sufyan Khan, Muhammad Abdullah, Hamad-ud-Din Anjum, Abdul Manaan, Moeen Shakeel, Zakriya Hayat, Arshad Liaqat, Ghazanfar Ali, Rana Abdul Waheed, Afraz, Abdul Hanan Shahid, Abdul Rehman, Rana Muhammad Waleed, Ahmed Nadeem, Arbaz Ahmed, Muhammad Imad, and Abu Bakr Mahmood.

The first-stage matches in Santiago are expected to serve as a key preparation platform ahead of upcoming international competitions.
