The Balochistan Education Department has decided to introduce major changes to the school curriculum for the upcoming academic year, officials confirmed on Saturday.
Under the new plan, Nazra Quran and Quran translation will become a formal part of the syllabus from Grade 1 to Grade 12, integrating religious education more comprehensively across all levels.
The department has also approved new computer education textbooks for students in Grades 6 to 8, aimed at enhancing digital skills among middle-school learners.
According to a spokesperson for the education board, additional textbooks focused on the positive and responsible use of social media have also been developed. These will be taught from Grade 6 to Grade 12 to help students navigate digital platforms safely and responsibly.
Officials say the revised curriculum is designed to promote both ethical awareness and modern technological competence among students across the province.
