The Pakistan hockey team is set to depart for Argentina tonight to participate in the Hockey Pro League, officials confirmed. Ahead of their departure, the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) will host a farewell dinner in honor of the team.

A 20-member squad, accompanied by six officials, will travel for the competition. Sources indicate that striker Abubakar Mahmood, recently recovered from injury, will rejoin the team. The PHF is expected to formally announce the final team lineup later today, with Imad Butt continuing as captain.

The first phase of the Pakistan Pro Hockey League is scheduled to begin on December 10. The national team will play a total of four matches, facing Argentina and the Netherlands in two matches each. Pakistan’s opening match is set against the Netherlands on December 10.

Following the conclusion of the Islamabad training camp, players have returned home and are instructed to report to Lahore tomorrow for further preparations ahead of the international fixtures.
