The Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced plans to recruit medical professionals to serve Pakistani pilgrims during Hajj 2026. The ministry will hire a team of 98 doctors, pharmacists, and 196 paramedics, who will perform duties under the federal Hajj mission in Saudi Arabia.
Applicants must be between 25 and 55 years of age and in good health, with chronic conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, or high blood pressure disqualifying candidates. Interested individuals are required to submit a fitness certificate from a District Headquarters Hospital and must pass a test conducted by the National Testing Service (NTS).
The ministry stated that candidates must have a minimum of three years of government service experience. Retired officials are not eligible; only currently serving government employees can apply. Female medical staff will account for 30 percent of the total quota to ensure gender-inclusive coverage of pilgrims’ healthcare needs.
Applications for the Hajj medical team will remain open until tomorrow, after which selected personnel will be deployed in Saudi Arabia for the duration of the pilgrimage. The appointments and assignments will be made in accordance with the federal government’s Hajj policy, ensuring professional medical care and support for Pakistani pilgrims.
