Punjab Chief Minister Mariam Nawaz Sharif officially launched Phase Two of the Lahore Development Plan, marking a new phase in the city’s urban transformation. The launch follows a high-level meeting chaired by the CM, where detailed briefings were presented and instructions for smooth implementation were issued.

According to the Chief Minister’s Office, the project aims to upgrade 6,284 streets across Lahore, with 486 streets under WASA and 5,798 under the Lahore Municipal Corporation slated for modernization by June next year. The initiative seeks to make every street modern, functional, and a source of pride for residents.

A step-by-step monthly work plan was presented during the meeting to ensure systematic progress. CM Mariam Nawaz emphasized that no compromise will be made on quality, and the project must proceed without delays.

She stated, “Every corner of Lahore will now be free from disrepair, offering dignified living spaces for citizens. With the upgrade of over 6,000 streets, each neighborhood will become a symbol of pride for the city.”

The Lahore Development Plan Phase Two is expected to bring significant improvements in infrastructure, cleanliness, and urban aesthetics, impacting millions of residents across the provincial capital.
