Significant developments emerged in the ongoing case against illegal gambling app promotions in Lahore.
Judicial Magistrate Naeem Wato conducted a hearing involving YouTuber Saad Rehman, also known as Ducky Bhai, and his wife Uroob Jatoi. The court rejected a plea seeking the acquittal of co-accused Subhan, postponing the next hearing to December 17 for framing of charges against all defendants.
Ducky Bhai told the court that Subhan had joined him three months before his own arrest and worked on a salary of PKR 100,000, claiming he had no involvement in the case. The court also confirmed that Uroob Jatoi had already been granted pre-arrest bail.
Ducky Bhai’s lawyer stated that the current hearing concerns a custodial request related to electronic devices and mobile phones held by NCCIA, and also seeks the release of four credit cards and funds in possession of authorities.
Ducky Bhai was released on bail two days ago, while NCCIA continues to pursue the case against the accused for promoting illegal gambling apps.
