Senior Pakistani actress and director Singita has voiced her opinion that senior industry figures should have been included as judges on the musical reality show Pakistan Idol.
Speaking on a recent TV show, Singita was asked about the criticism surrounding Fawad Khan’s inclusion as a judge on the show.
She responded that including legendary singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan as a judge was an excellent decision, but other judges should have been seasoned professionals, suggesting that someone like herself would have been more appropriate.
Singita highlighted her extensive experience in the industry, saying she has produced songs for nearly 100 films, many of which were major hits, and argued that her inclusion would have brought seniority and expertise to the panel.
She expressed frustration over the selection process, claiming that decision-makers often overlook experienced industry veterans like her.
