Pakistani cinema lovers can finally see their favorite on-screen pair Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan together again, as their highly anticipated romantic film “Nilofar” has hit theaters.
The film is written and directed by Amar Rasool, with Usaf Sharq serving as producer. Fawad Khan and Hassan Khalid are credited as executive producers.
The central cast features Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan, alongside veteran actors Behroze Sabzwari, Atiqa Odho, Sarwat Gilani, and Madiha Imam. Fawad plays Mansoor Ali Khan, a writer, while Mahira portrays Nilofar, a visually impaired yet luminous character whose personality and spiritual depth drive the story.
Though the trailer does not reveal the full plot, it hints at Fawad Khan’s character being unusual and layered. At one point, Mahira’s character accuses him of approaching her because she cannot see him, suggesting a nuanced emotional storyline. The film explores themes beyond literal sight, incorporating philosophical and emotional dimensions.
With music by Zeeshan Vicky, “Nilofar” blends romance, heartbreak, and introspection, delivering a love story that emphasizes purity, regret, and emotional tension.
Cinema-goers have expressed excitement over the release, with many planning to watch the film in theaters across the country.
