Islamabad’s Anti-Terrorism Court has declared former opposition leader Omar Ayub an absconder in connection with the October 4 protest case, court officials confirmed.
During the hearing, Judge Tahir Abbas Supra directed authorities to block Omar Ayub’s passport and national ID card. The court also requested details of his properties as part of ongoing proceedings.
Omar Ayub faces charges under anti-terrorism provisions at Noon Police Station, according to court records.
Sources familiar with the case said the ruling aims to prevent the accused from fleeing the country while the investigation continues.
