PCAA restores Serene Airline license, flights expected to resume soon

1 min read

The Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) has restored the operating license of Serene Airline, officials confirmed on Wednesday. The airline’s license had been suspended earlier due to a shortage of aircraft.

Following the license reinstatement, airline officials expect to resume domestic flights within two months and international operations within three months.

Serene Airline’s Chief Operating Officer, Abdul Basit, thanked the government for its support, saying the airline will now repair grounded aircraft and return planes stuck abroad to its fleet.

The airline management also stated that employee salaries and other pending matters will be resolved promptly, with salary payments expected to restart next month.

Sources close to the PCAA said the decision aims to stabilize Pakistan’s civil aviation sector while ensuring passenger safety and compliance with operational standards.
