Significant progress has been made in the murder case of 17-year-old TikToker Sana Yusuf, who was shot dead in her Islamabad home on June 2, officials confirmed.

During a hearing at the District and Sessions Court Islamabad, Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka recorded statements from three new prosecution witnesses, including the showroom owner, driver, and police officer who provided the car to the accused, Umar Hayat. Defense lawyers were unable to cross-examine the witnesses during the session.

So far, statements of 13 witnesses have been recorded. The court has adjourned the next hearing until December 6.
The case was registered at Sumbal Police Station under Section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code for deliberate murder, following the complaint filed by Sana Yusuf’s mother, Farzana Yusuf. Umar Hayat was later arrested based on technical investigation.

Sana Yusuf was a popular social media influencer, with approximately 800,000 followers on TikTok and 500,000 followers on Instagram, known for her engaging content and online presence.
