The Dubai Airshow 2025 has set a new global aviation record by securing deals worth more than US $202 billion, nearly double the volume recorded in 2023.
According to the UAE news agency, the Airshow regarded as one of the world’s largest aviation events that drew around 248,000 attendees, including aviation professionals, industry experts and tourists.
More than 1,500 exhibitors took part in the event, with 440 participating for the first time. Delegations from 115 countries were also present, including 490 military and civil contingents, underscoring the event’s global significance.
Among the major deals, Emirates Airline committed to purchasing 65 additional Boeing 777-9 aircraft, along with eight Airbus A350-900 jets, a single agreement valued at 41.4 billion dollars.
This year’s show also featured its largest-ever space pavilion, organised in collaboration with the UAE Space Agency, reflecting a growing emphasis on aerospace and space technology alongside conventional aviation.
Industry analysts say the scale of contracts and the wide international participation signal a strong rebound in global demand for aviation and defence systems, supported by renewed confidence in long-term fleet expansion and space-sector investment.
The event’s success further strengthens Dubai’s status as a major hub for global aviation and a key venue where airlines, manufacturers and defence players strike some of the world’s biggest commercial deals.
