The award-winning crime thriller “Jujji,” produced under the banner of private studio BHM Films, has been released on Amazon Prime for audiences in the United States and the United Kingdom, officials said on Monday.
The film, which won first place at the Punjab Police Film Festival, was praised for its compelling story, performances, and production quality. The festival had showcased films created by private studios with crime themes, highlighting the role of cinema in promoting public awareness and police initiatives.
Punjab Inspector General Dr. Usman Anwar congratulated director Habib Shehzad for the international recognition, noting that private film productions play a crucial role in presenting the successes and efforts of law enforcement to a wider audience. He said the police would continue to support and encourage high-quality, educational films on crime themes.
“Jiji” revolves around a serial killer named Jiji and the subsequent police investigation, presenting multiple perspectives of criminal investigation and the challenges faced by law enforcement. The film has already won multiple awards at national and international levels.
Renowned Pakistani artists Tauqeer Nasir, Usman Peerzada, and Syed Noor served as judges for the Punjab Police Film Festival, which provided a platform for private studios to compete and showcase their storytelling skills.
