Lahore High Court has granted bail to YouTuber Saad ur Rehman, popularly known as Ducky Bhai, who was arrested over allegations of promoting illegal gambling applications.
The bail was approved by Justice Shahram Sarwar following a hearing on the petition filed on behalf of the social media personality. The court ordered Ducky Bhai’s release against a surety of PKR 1 million.
Ducky Bhai had been accused of advertising unlawful gambling apps on his YouTube channel, prompting the National Crime Agency (NCA) Lahore to register a case against him in the early hours of August 17 under state prosecution.
Additionally, the cybercrime agency filed a separate case against nine of its officers after a complaint from Ducky Bhai’s wife, adding a complex layer to the ongoing legal proceedings.
The court’s decision allows the YouTuber to remain free while his case proceeds, ending a period of detention that sparked significant public and social media attention.
