Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn has responded to recent comments by his wife Kajol regarding marriage and the concept of renewal or expiry options in relationships.
Kajol, speaking on a YouTube channel, discussed how love and relationships have evolved in modern times. When asked by Twinkle Khanna whether marriage should have an expiry or renewal option, Kajol agreed, saying it is logical as no one can be certain about marrying the right person at the right time, and an expiry date could prevent prolonged emotional suffering. Actors Twinkle Khanna, Vicky Kaushal, and Kriti Sanon disagreed with the idea.
In a separate interview, Ajay Devgn reflected on the changing nature of love. He said that love has become more casual and common today, losing much of its depth and significance. “In our times, saying ‘I love you’ was a big deal,” he said, “now people don’t understand the depth of the words, and the phrase is used casually.” Actor R. Madhavan agreed, noting that past generations regarded love and commitments with sincere devotion. Ajay added that today, expressions of love are often reduced to emojis or casual messages.
Kajol and Ajay first met on the set of the 1995 film “Hulchul” and got married four years later, in 1999.
