Pakistani artists collaborate with China’s Qiyin technology to drive AI-Powered music innovation

ISLAMABAD (Internews): In a groundbreaking partnership, top Pakistani artists are collaborating with China’s Qiyin Technology to explore the fusion of artificial intelligence and music setting a new precedent for cultural and creative cooperation along the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

Qiyin Technology, an emerging leader in the AI × Music industry has positioned itself as an infrastructure and service provider for global copyright owners and streaming platforms. With its mission to “serve the music consumption of 3 billion people worldwide with AI,” the company is actively building a cross-border creative network, combining technology, artistry and regional music traditions.

By working with Pakistani musicians, Qiyin aims to incorporate the country’s rich and diverse musical heritage into AI-driven remix and vocal technologies. The company’s AI audio processing and multi-track generation systems enable the recreation of regional music styles while maintaining copyright compliance and creative authenticity. Pakistani music’s rhythmic complexity and emotional depth are proving to be a valuable testbed for these innovative systems, helping bridge the technological and cultural dimensions of the modern music industry.

The collaboration has already yielded promising outcomes several AI-enhanced works featuring Pakistani elements have achieved tens of billions of plays across streaming platforms such as ByteDance and GMG, underscoring the potential of tech-enabled cultural exchange.

This growing synergy aligns closely with the vision of Haidian Culture and Education Industry Park located in the heart of Beijing’s innovation district. Founded on the legacy of the People’s Education Press Printing House (est. 1956), the park has evolved into a cross-disciplinary ecosystem integrating culture, education, technology and scientific research.

Surrounded by leading universities — including Beijing Film Academy, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications and China University of Political Science and Law — the park leverages the intellectual capital of Haidian District to promote industry-university-research collaboration.

In June 2024, the Haidian District Government, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications and the Park jointly launched the Artificial Intelligence Enterprise Accelerator, a 1,750-square-meter space supporting startups and innovators in AI technology. The facility enhances collaboration, incubation and capital integration, strengthening Haidian’s position as a national hub for AI-driven innovation.

Qiyin Technology continues to translate its vision “reconstructing the music industry through technology and promoting global cultural integration” into tangible progress. With operations in China, Pakistan and other international markets, the company combines AI remixing, AI vocals and creative reconstruction to deliver scalable, cost-effective and globally appealing music.

The company’s open-source library Symusic has gained international recognition, recording over 600,000 downloads and being integrated into Hugging Face Hub. Qiyin has been selected into the Metaverse Matrix of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) and has received multiple awards, including the Best Commercial Award from the Beijing Academy of Artificial Intelligence (BAAI).

As both Pakistan and China strengthen cultural ties under the Belt and Road framework, collaborations like this one demonstrate how AI and creativity can jointly promote people-to-people connectivity, economic growth and shared prosperity.
