Bollywood superstar Anushka Sharma is set to make her cinematic comeback nearly seven years after her last film, starring in the sports biographical movie “Chakra Express”, which will premiere on Netflix.

According to media reports, filming for the movie was completed several months ago, but its release was delayed due to differences between the production company and Netflix. An official release date is expected to be announced in the coming days.

In the film, Sharma portrays Jhulan Goswami, the legendary Indian cricketer who represented the national team from 2002 to 2022. Goswami hails from the small town of Chakra in West Bengal, and the movie chronicles her remarkable journey in Indian cricket.

Anushka Sharma’s last film was “Zero”, where she starred opposite Shah Rukh Khan, playing dual roles. With “Chakra Express,” Sharma is returning to the screen in a highly anticipated biographical role, highlighting the life of one of India’s most celebrated female cricketers.
