The Pakistan men’s hockey team has left for Bangladesh to compete in a three-match series as part of the Pre-World Cup Qualifiers. The series will be held from November 13 to 16, with the winning team advancing to the FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup qualifying round.

An 18-member squad departed from Lahore to Dhaka, led by team captain Imad Shakil Butt. The squad includes Abdullah Ishtiaq Khan, Muneeb ur Rehman, Muhammad Sufyan Khan, Muhammad Abdullah, Hammaduddin Anjum, Abdul Manaan, Moeen Shakil, Zakriya Hayat, Arshad Liaqat, Ghazanfar Ali, Rana Abdul Wahid, Afraz, Abdul Hanan Shahid, Abdul Rehman, Rana Muhammad Waleed, Ahmed Nadeem, and Junaid Manzoor.

Head coach Tahir Zaman did not join the tour, reportedly due to ongoing differences with the Pakistan Hockey Federation.

The series between Pakistan and Bangladesh will determine which team secures a place in the upcoming World Cup qualifying round.
