Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Monday departed for Riyadh to attend the ninth edition of the Future Investment Initiative (FII) conference, following a special invitation extended by Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman.
According to official statement, the Prime Minister is accompanied by a high-level delegation, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistants Tariq Fatemi and Bilal bin Saqib.
The FII conference in Riyadh is expected to bring together world leaders, global investors, business executives, policymakers, and innovators to discuss global economic trends, sustainable development, technological transformation, and shifting geopolitical landscapes. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will represent Pakistan and share the country’s perspective on sustainable economic growth and inclusive development.
During the visit, the Prime Minister is scheduled to hold meetings with the Saudi leadership to discuss ways to further enhance bilateral cooperation, particularly in trade, investment, energy, and workforce development. Regional and international issues of mutual interest are also expected to come under discussion.
Additionally, the Prime Minister is likely to meet with heads of international organizations and global corporate leaders attending the summit, with a focus on expanding investment opportunities in Pakistan and strengthening strategic economic partnerships.
