Pakistan’s Mikaeel Ali Baig clinches boys doubles title at ITF Junior Championship

The ITF Pakistan International J-30 Junior Tennis Championships 2025 continued at the PTF-SDA Tennis Complex in Islamabad, featuring young players from China, Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Lithuania, Russia, Thailand, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and Pakistan. The tournament, hosted by the Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF), is seeing strong global participation and competitive performances across categories.

In the Boys Doubles Final, Pakistan’s Mikaeel Ali Baig, partnering with Russia’s Timur Gordeev, claimed the title after defeating Japan’s Ippei Matsushima and Lithuania’s Kristijonas Milasaukas in straight sets 6-1, 6-1.

In the Girls Doubles Final, the Turkish pair of Serife Pelin Sari and Deniz Cakil emerged victorious, overcoming China’s Mingxi Qu and Zihan Feng 4-6, 6-3, (10-5) in a closely contested match.

Earlier in the Girls Singles semifinals, Ecrin Lal Yavuz of Turkey defeated Mingxi Qu of China 7-6(2), 6-4, while Yewon Lee of Korea beat Zihan Feng of China 6-3, 2-6, 6-1 to secure her place in the final.

The championship is being sponsored by PARCO, OGDCL, National Foods, Ali Embroidery, and the Capital Development Authority (CDA).

The Girls Singles Final is scheduled for 10:00 am tomorrow, followed by the Boys Singles Final at 2:00 pm. Both matches will be broadcast live on the PTF official YouTube channel.
