Pakistan’s film star Mahira Khan has said she plans to gift her wedding outfit from her Dua-e-Khair ceremony to her future daughter-in-law, calling the dress a meaningful symbol of love and family tradition.
In a recently surfaced interview clip circulating on social media, Mahira spoke about the sentimental value attached to the ceremony, which marked the beginning of her wedding celebrations. She shared that the event was held at home on her mother’s request, where noted poet Zehra Nigāh led the prayers.
Mahira said her Dua-e-Khair outfit was designed by Umar Saeed in a Hyderabadi style. She completed the look with light makeup, floral jewelry and a braided hairstyle, which she described as simple yet deeply memorable.
“This dress is very special to me,” Mahira said. “One day, I will give it to my daughter-in-law and tell her to take care of it because it was made with a lot of love.”
The actor married businessman Salim Karim in October 2023. She has a son, Azlan, from her first marriage.
Mahira’s comments have sparked warm reactions from fans, many calling the gesture a “beautiful continuation of family legacy” and a reminder of how personal traditions carry emotional value across generations.
