The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to include foreign coaches in the support staff of the national women’s cricket team, sources confirmed on Tuesday.
According to insiders, the new lineup will include foreign strength and conditioning coaches, trainers, and physiotherapists, while changes will also be made to the existing coaching staff. However, the head coach will continue to be a local appointment.
The decision to bring in foreign experts, sources said, aims to raise the players’ fitness levels to international standards and enhance their overall performance.
Additionally, the PCB plans to increase the number of international tours for the women’s team as part of its broader development strategy. The Pakistan Under-19 women’s team is also expected to benefit, with more overseas exposure tours in the pipeline.
Sources further revealed that the Director of International Cricket Operations will review and finalize these arrangements in the coming weeks.
