Pakistan’s Ashab Irfan wins first PSA World Tour Title at Vancouver Open

Pakistan’s rising squash star Ashab Irfan clinched his first-ever PSA World Tour title after defeating England’s Sam Todd in the final of the Vancouver Open Squash Championship 2025.

In a dominant performance, Ashab Irfan overpowered his English opponent 3–0 in straight sets, winning by 11–9, 11–1, and 11–5 in a match that lasted 43 minutes.

The victory marks a major milestone in the young Pakistani player’s career, signaling his emergence as one of the country’s most promising squash talents on the international circuit.

The Vancouver Open, part of the Professional Squash Association (PSA) World Tour, carried a total prize purse of $31,250.

Irfan’s win adds to Pakistan’s growing list of recent achievements in international squash, reviving hopes of restoring the nation’s legacy in the sport once dominated by legends like Jahangir Khan and Jansher Khan.
