Pakistan has won the bid to host the Worldchefs Asia Presidents Forum 2026, marking the first time the country will host an international culinary leadership event.
The announcement was made during the Worldchefs Forum 2025 held in Suzhou, China, where Pakistan secured the hosting rights after a competitive voting process against Malaysia. Pakistan received 13 out of 21 votes, earning the privilege to organize the prestigious forum next year.
The Worldchefs Asia Presidents Forum 2026 will be held in October 2026 across Islamabad and Lahore, bringing together top chefs, culinary experts, and association presidents from across Asia.
Pakistan was represented at the Suzhou event by Ahmad Shafiq, Founder and President of the Chefs Association of Pakistan (CAP). Speaking to Geo News, Shafiq hailed the win as a “major achievement” for Pakistan’s hospitality and culinary industry.
“This decision is a big success for Pakistan. Presidents of chefs’ associations from 21 Asian countries will visit Pakistan, creating opportunities for local chefs and enhancing Pakistan’s image globally,” he said.
He added that the event will not only showcase Pakistan’s rich culinary heritage but also help create international employment opportunities for Pakistani chefs.
Member countries of the Worldchefs Asia Presidents Forum include China, Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, South Korea, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Macau, Malaysia, Singapore, the Maldives, the Philippines, Nepal, and several others.
The forum serves as one of Asia’s most influential culinary gatherings, focusing on culinary innovation, food tourism, and professional exchange among chefs from across the continent.
