
The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has launched a nationwide crackdown against drug trafficking, seizing narcotics worth over Rs36.3 million and arresting five suspects, including a woman, during multiple operations across the country.
According to an ANF spokesperson, the operations were conducted in various cities and around educational institutions to curb the supply of drugs to students.
In total, authorities recovered 136.82 kilograms of narcotics, including heroin, ice, opium, and hashish.
In Islamabad’s H-9 Sector, officers intercepted a vehicle near a university and recovered 380 grams of hashish. The suspect reportedly confessed to selling drugs to students.
At Peshawar’s Bacha Khan International Airport, a man and woman traveling to Sharjah were caught with 134 heroin-filled capsules (weighing 690 grams) concealed inside their bodies.
In Attock, ANF teams seized 500 grams of opium from a passenger at Haji Shah Bus Stop, while in Multan, officers recovered 250 grams of heroin from a suspect’s bag near Shah Shams Tabrez Toll Plaza.
