Pakistani actor Syed Jibran criticizes trend of Ozempic use and hair patches in show biz industry

Renowned Pakistani actor Syed Jibran has spoken out about the growing use of weight-loss medications and the trend of hair transplants within the entertainment industry, urging people to prioritize their health over appearance.

In a recent interview, Jibran — who holds a medical degree from Rawalpindi before entering showbiz — expressed concern over the rising obsession with quick-fix weight-loss injections such as Ozempic.

“I’ve seen many people today become addicted to this injection craze just to lose weight,” he said, warning that the drug carries “several harmful side effects.”

Jibran advised those using the medication solely for cosmetic purposes to stop immediately. He explained that Ozempic is medically prescribed for diabetic patients, but its weight-reduction effects have made it popular among celebrities worldwide.

During the same interview, the actor also shared insights into his personal hair care routine. He revealed that he used to apply mustard oil daily during his college years — a habit he believes helped him maintain strong and healthy hair.

“Because of that routine, I never felt the need for a transplant or a hair patch,” Jibran said, adding that many actors still use hair patches during performances. “I respect their hard work and dedication, especially under such heat, but I’m thankful I don’t need one.”

Syed Jibran, known for his versatile performances in both positive and negative roles, emphasized the importance of maintaining natural habits and avoiding unhealthy shortcuts in pursuit of physical perfection.
