
The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi has announced the results of the first-year annual examinations, showing an overall pass percentage of 43.46 percent, with female students once again outperforming their male counterparts.
According to the official results, 63,494 candidates appeared in the exams, of whom 28,442 passed while 35,052 failed. A total of 1,213 students were marked absent during the examinations.
The data revealed a significant performance gap between genders, female students recorded a success rate of 50.43 percent, while male students achieved 31.35 percent.
The results were formally announced by Board Chairman Adnan Khan and Controller of Examinations Tanveer Asghar. Speaking on the occasion, the chairman said the entire examination system has now been fully computerized, adding that the so-called “booti mafia” which involved in cheating has been completely eliminated.
He further stated that CCTV cameras were installed at examination centers to ensure transparency and prevent any irregularities during the exams.
The results have been published on the official BISE Rawalpindi website, and candidates can also access their results via the board’s SMS service.
