Actor Abhishek Bachchan won the Best Actor award at the 70th Filmfare Awards 2025 and attributed his victory to the unwavering support and sacrifices of his wife, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
In his acceptance speech, Abhishek became emotional, saying, “Because of Aishwarya’s sacrifices I stand here today.” He acknowledged that he had prepared many speeches over the years for this moment, but never truly expected to see it materialize. The award was given for his performance in the 2024 film I Want to Talk.
He extended gratitude to the directors and producers who believed in him, and praised his family for their enduring support. He dedicated the award to Aishwarya and their daughter Aradhya, calling them central figures in his journey.
Abhishek, reflecting on his 25-year acting career, noted that it has been one of highs and hardships, but one he deeply cherishes. In the same event, Aishwarya shared a family photograph marking their 18th wedding anniversary, along with a silent rebuttal to divorce rumors that had circulated about the couple.
His next project is King, in which he will share the screen with Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan.
