
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has confirmed receiving the handwritten resignation of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur on Friday afternoon.
According to official sources, the resignation was delivered to the Governor’s House by Brigadier (Retd) Musaddiq Abbasi, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Anti-Corruption. Abbasi handed over the resignation to the caretaker at the Governor’s House, who officially received it and issued an acknowledgment receipt marked at 2:30 p.m.
Governor Faisal Karim Kundi said, “ I received the handwritten resignation of the Chief Minister, dated October 11. The legal team will now examine the document to ensure all constitutional and legal formalities are met before proceeding further.”
He added that the verification process would include reviewing the authenticity of the resignation and ensuring it complies with constitutional requirements. Once verified, the Governor’s Office will take action accordingly.
In his resignation letter, Ali Amin Gandapur stated that he was resigning from his position as Chief Minister “out of loyalty” and confirmed that the decision was made voluntarily.
The Governor emphasized that the matter will be handled strictly in accordance with constitutional and legal provisions.
