
Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone has been appointed as India’s first-ever Mental Health Ambassador by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
Expressing gratitude for the honor, Deepika said she is committed to strengthening the national campaign for mental health awareness and support. She emphasized that this partnership represents a crucial step toward improving the country’s mental health system and encouraging open discussions on the issue.
Deepika, who has long advocated for mental wellness through her foundation “Live Love Laugh,” stated that her new role will focus on breaking stigma, promoting access to mental health care, and encouraging people to seek help without hesitation.
Earlier this week, the actress was also seen visiting the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi, where she wore an abaya, drawing attention from fans worldwide.
