
A Pakistan Army officer, Major Sibtain Haider, was martyred during an intelligence-based operation against India-sponsored terrorists in Dera Ismail Khan’s Daraban area, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement today.
According to the ISPR, security forces conducted the operation after receiving credible intelligence about the presence of terrorists belonging to the India-backed group “Fitna al-Khawarij.” During the intense exchange of fire, seven terrorists were killed by the security forces.
The ISPR confirmed that Major Sibtain Haider, aged 30 and a resident of Quetta District, embraced martyrdom while leading his troops from the front.
The military’s media wing reiterated its resolve to eliminate terrorism from the country, stating that such sacrifices by Pakistan’s soldiers strengthen the nation’s determination to ensure lasting peace.
