Renowned Pakistani actress Javeria Saud has revealed that during the early days of her acting career, she had to slap several fans who crossed personal boundaries.
Speaking on a private TV show, Javeria recalled her initial years in the entertainment industry, saying she often encountered overly enthusiastic admirers. “In the beginning, some fans would behave inappropriately — I even had to slap a few of them,” she said.
Sharing one incident, the actress said that after her dramas became popular, fans began gathering outside her home. “There was a boy who would come daily for three months, bringing flowers and gifts,” she recounted. “I never said anything, but one day when he tried to talk and harass me, instead of getting scared, I slapped him.”
Javeria explained that during that era, most women felt afraid to respond to such situations. “Back then, women were scared to react — fearing their families would blame them — but I was not like that. Whenever someone crossed the line, I made sure they learned a lesson,” she said.
Reflecting on how times have changed, Javeria added, “Things are much better now. Men think twice before trying to harass women.”
