DIG Islamabad vows zero tolerance as Koral Police bust armed robbery gang

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Islamabad Police, Muhammad Jawad Tariq, has reaffirmed the force’s resolve to eliminate organized criminal groups as Koral Police arrested three members of a notorious gang involved in multiple street robberies.

According to the Islamabad Police spokesperson, the arrested suspects were part of a well-organized network responsible for several incidents of armed robbery and snatching in the capital.

During the operation, police recovered stolen cash, expensive mobile phones worth hundreds of thousands of rupees, and weapons along with ammunition used in the crimes.

Cases have been registered against the accused, who have reportedly confessed to committing several robberies across different areas of Islamabad.

DIG Muhammad Jawad Tariq said that all legal requirements are being fulfilled to ensure the culprits receive exemplary punishment. He further stated that large-scale operations are underway against organized and active criminal gangs to maintain peace and security in the federal capital.

The police have urged citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the nearest police station or helpline.
