The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the schedule for the 68th edition of the country’s premier domestic cricket tournament, the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2025-26.

According to a press release issued by the PCB, the tournament will begin on Monday, October 6, and feature a total of 46 first-class matches to be played across Peshawar, Abbottabad, Islamabad, and Rawalpindi.

Defending champions Sialkot Region will aim to retain their title in what promises to be an exciting season of competitive domestic cricket.

The tournament will consist of nine rounds, with five matches scheduled in each round. At the end of the league stage, the top two teams on the points table will qualify for the final, which will be played from November 29 to December 3.

To make the tournament more accessible for fans, at least two matches from every round will be live-streamed on the PCB’s official YouTube channel. The first round will see matches from Imran Khan Stadium in Peshawar and Diamond Cricket Ground in Islamabad broadcast live.

This year’s Quaid-e-Azam Trophy will also feature 10 under-21 players taking part in every round. Each team will be required to include at least one under-21 player in their playing XI — a step the PCB says is aimed at nurturing young cricketing talent.

The winning team will receive a prize of Rs 7.5 million, while the runners-up will be awarded Rs 4 million.

With the mix of seasoned professionals and emerging youngsters, the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2025-26 is set to showcase Pakistan’s domestic cricket strength and future stars.
