FIFA has unveiled the official match ball for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, featuring advanced technology and a design that celebrates the unity of the three host nations, the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

The ball, designed by German sportswear giant Adidas, has been named “Tri Onda, a combination of the words “Tri” (meaning three) and the Spanish word “Onda” (meaning wave). The name reflects the connection and shared energy among the three countries hosting the tournament.

The “Tri Onda” design prominently features red, blue, and green colors, each symbolizing one of the host nations. It also carries national symbols: the maple leaf for Canada, the eagle for Mexico, and the star for the United States.

According to FIFA, the ball’s pattern represents unity and motion, while its design incorporates the latest aerodynamic and performance technologies developed by Adidas.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be the first in history to be hosted by three countries, and the “Tri Onda” ball is being seen as a fitting emblem of this unprecedented collaboration.
