The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) carried out a series of operations across different cities, arresting seven suspects — including a woman and an Afghan national — and recovering over 49 kilograms of narcotics worth more than Rs4 million, the agency said in a statement.

According to the ANF spokesperson, a passenger bound for Muscat (Oman) was intercepted at Islamabad Airport, where officials recovered 90 capsules filled with crystal meth (ice) weighing 683 grams from his stomach. In another airport operation, a passenger heading to the United Kingdom was caught with 29,400 diazepam tablets, weighing 8.5 kilograms, concealed in his luggage.

Near Ring Road, Peshawar, ANF recovered 500 grams of ice from a car and arrested an Afghan national. In Bahria Town, Lahore, a car and a motorcycle were stopped, leading to the recovery of 30 kilograms of hashish and the arrest of two suspects.

Separately, 7.2 kilograms of hashish were seized from a truck near Iqbal Shaheed Toll Plaza, Attock, while 2.4 kilograms of hashish were recovered from a woman suspect near Motorway Toll Plaza, Peshawar.
The ANF said all suspects have been booked under the Anti-Narcotics Act, 1997, and further investigations are underway.
