The Pakistan Cycling Federation (PCF) has announced a landmark achievement in the country’s sporting history. For the first time, a Pakistani coach has been selected for the prestigious UCI Level 3 Coaching Diploma, an international certification awarded by the Union Cycliste International (UCI).
Haroon General will attend the elite one-month program in Aigle, Switzerland, where he will receive advanced training in technical, tactical, and strategic aspects of professional cycling. According to the PCF, his training will enable him to transfer world-class knowledge to Pakistan’s cycling community upon his return, raising the standard of coaching and boosting the country’s international profile in the sport.
Building on this milestone, the PCF also announced plans to launch a Level 1 Coaching Course for aspiring coaches across the country. The program will introduce internationally recognized training methods at the grassroots level, creating a structured pathway for coaching excellence in Pakistan.
The federation stated that these initiatives highlight its commitment to nurturing talent, promoting professional standards, and positioning Pakistan as an emerging force in international cycling.
