The Islamabad Traffic Police has reported a record 500 percent increase in applications for driving licences and learner permits, reflecting what officials describe as strong public trust in the department.
Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Captain (R) Hamza Humayun said citizens are turning to traffic offices, service centers, and mobile service vans in large numbers to obtain licences. He added that the police are grateful for the overwhelming response and confidence shown by the public.
Authorities have set October 7 as the deadline for securing licences. To ease the process, citizens can now apply for learner permits from home through the Islamabad Police’s e-Learner app.
In addition to the app, permits can be obtained at the Faizabad head office, F-6 service center, 13 police stations, and through mobile “Khidmat Vans” operating across different areas.
The CTO urged citizens to get their licences without delay, calling it a sign of responsible and civilized citizenship.
