
The Ministry of Energy’s Power Division has released its latest update on electricity restoration efforts in flood-affected areas, reporting that a total of 51 grid stations and 588 feeders were impacted across the country.
According to the report of today, 396 feeders have been fully restored while 189 are partially functional. Restoration work continues in coordination with local administrations, with full recovery expected once floodwaters recede in the remaining areas.
In the Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) region, covering Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Chiniot, and Mianwali, 28 grid stations and 81 feeders were affected. Of these, 71 feeders have been fully restored and 10 partially restored, completing power restoration in the area.
The Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) reported 67 damaged feeders, out of which 66 have been restored fully and one partially. Electricity supply has been resumed in Lahore, Nankana Sahib, Sheikhupura, and Okara. Restoration work for 441 affected consumers is expected to be completed by September 30.
In the Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) network, 181 feeders were impacted. So far, 48 have been restored fully and 130 partially. The Power Division noted that complete restoration will begin as soon as floodwaters recede in the region.
The Gujranwala Electric Power Company (GEPCO) suffered damage to 11 grid stations and 103 feeders. Out of these, 102 feeders have been restored fully and one partially. Sixteen affected consumers will have their power reconnected once water levels go down.
The Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) reported that 88 feeders have been fully restored and three partially restored, completing recovery in Swat, Swabi, and Dera Ismail Khan.
In the Tribal Electric Supply Company (TESCO) region, 18 feeders in North Waziristan and Khyber have been fully restored. Similarly, the Hazara Electric Supply Company (HESCO) restored three feeders in Mansehra.
The Sukkur Electric Power Company (SEPCO) temporarily restored 44 feeders in its flood-hit service areas.
The Power Division emphasized that restoration work is progressing rapidly and full power supply will resume in the remaining areas once floodwaters subside.
