Islamabad Police have decided to launch a major crackdown against criminals involved in murder, attempted murder, robberies, and dacoities. The decision was taken at a crime meeting chaired by Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Muhammad Jawad Tariq on Thursday in Islamabad.
The meeting was attended by SSP Operations Muhammad Shoaib Khan, SSP CTD, AIG General and Development, zonal SPs, SP Dolphin and Patrolling, and other senior officers.
During the session, the performance of officers was reviewed individually. DIG Jawad Tariq directed targeted operations against proclaimed offenders and active criminal gangs. He stressed that a zero-tolerance policy would be applied to unregistered and number-plate-less vehicles and motorcycles.
He also instructed that patrolling be made more effective, with patrolling officers remaining in the field around the clock.
“The protection of citizens’ lives and property is the top priority of Islamabad Police,” DIG Muhammad Jawad Tariq said, reaffirming the force’s commitment to improving law and order in the capital.
