Abrar jumps to fourth in ICC T20 rankings, Shaheen also climbs

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the latest T20 player rankings, with Pakistani spinner Abrar Ahmed making a remarkable leap from 12th to 4th position among bowlers.

India’s Varun Chakravarthy continues to lead the T20 bowling rankings, followed by New Zealand’s Jacob Duffy in second and West Indies’ Akeal Hosein in third. Abrar’s rise to fourth marks his best-ever career ranking. Fast bowler Shaheen Afridi also moved up two spots to 25th, while Haris Rauf climbed nine places to 28th. On the downside, Mohammad Nawaz slipped 13 spots to 46th, and Sufiyan Muqeem fell to 14th. India’s Hardik Pandya jumped six spots to reach 60th among bowlers.

In the batting charts, India’s Abhishek Sharma retained the top spot, followed by England’s Phil Salt in second. India’s Tilak Varma moved up one place to secure third position. Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan surged 31 spots to claim 24th, while Saim Ayub dropped eight places to 55th. Captain Salman Ali Agha and opener Fakhar Zaman each improved three places, now ranked 65th and 66th respectively.

Among T20 all-rounders, India’s Hardik Pandya holds the number one position, with Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan second and Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza third. Pakistan’s Saim Ayub stands at fifth, Mohammad Nawaz improved to 17th, and Faheem Ashraf gained 12 spots to reach 39th.
