The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has kicked off a major nationwide Schools Talent Hunt Program 2025–26 aimed at discovering young cricket talent across the country.
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi formally inaugurated the program at Crescent Model Higher Secondary School, where he also unveiled the tournament trophy and distributed PCB kit bags to participating teams. He was introduced to players from Crescent Model Higher Secondary School and Crescent Grammar School.
Naqvi announced that the program will run simultaneously across all provinces, involving a total of 391 schools, 175 government and 218 private institutions.
“Our goal is to identify and nurture new cricket stars from the youth,” Naqvi said, expressing hope that the tournament will produce fresh talent capable of representing Pakistan at the international level.
The initiative marks one of PCB’s largest grassroots cricket development drives in recent years, with the aim of building a strong pipeline for the national team.
