Islamabad police set October 1 deadline for driving licenses

1 min read

The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has announced October 1 as the deadline for motorists to obtain valid driving licenses.

Chief Traffic Officer Captain (R) Hamza Humayun warned that from October 1, strict action will be taken against those driving without a license. Offenders will face registration of cases, arrest, and vehicle impoundment, he said.
“The action will be indiscriminate, regardless of a person’s social or professional background,” the CTO stressed.

The ITP said it is providing maximum facilities to citizens until the deadline. Licenses can be obtained from the Faizabad Traffic Office, F-6 Facilitation Centre, and mobile traffic license vans.

The CTO reminded citizens to always carry a physical copy of their license, noting that digital copies will not be accepted.

“Driving without a license endangers both your life and the lives of others. Prove yourself a responsible citizen, get your license, and avoid legal action,” Hamza Humayun added.
